Oh geez, where do I even start? Since my last post, I got into a group that taught me about animation, vector art, and even a bit of traditional drawing. Got to talk to Minty Root, He's a pretty cool animator. I'm working with a group called ManeFrame, making a new and improved version of Fighting is Magic, and I'm one of the character animators. And last but certainly not least, I've recently been accepted into an animation project called Aurora: Imperium as one of the vector artists. And these are just the highlights. I could probably fill an entire essay with the minutia. While I don't have much to show for my absence, I am working to change that. it remains to be seen as to what kind of stuff I'll be putting up, or even how frequently, but I'll be sure to put up what I can.

Update Thingy

I meant to write one of these things a few days ago, but forgot. :/ But I just came back from a day at Crystal Fair STL, so I figured now would be a good a time as any. First, I'd just briefly mention Crystal Fair, It was an absolute blast, even if I only got to go one day. I got to try out a demo for Starswirl Academy, which was cool, since I'd been keeping my eye on that project for a while now. Got to see 7th Element, Pixelkitties, Semehammer, Jen Blake, and the author of the Pirate Dash tumblr, so that was cool. Wish Chain Algorithm would have shown up to the musician's panel (I wanted his autograph). Got a couple of freebies, like this Princess Flyer. All in all, great day, would totally go again next year.

And now onto the artsy stuff. Now that all that stuff that was eating up my spare time is gone, I now have time to draw stuff. I'll either start with a special picture about the Crystal Fair con, or get to work on the pieces I said I'd redo. I'm not sure how to put it, but having been to the convention, it put me in a mood to wanna do stuff. So why not put that to use? Make hay while the sun shines, as the saying goes. So yeah, I'll be doing that art thing.

Well, with the NATG concluded, My time of drawing a pony a day has ended... (sadly) It was quite fun, save for the parts where I used a swath of colorful language when deadlines were approaching. I worked my fingers to the bone, and my eraser has seen better days, but I soldiered on, and made it through all thirty days. The event is over and I now enjoy my celebration.

And with the theatrics said and done, let's move on the to the next point of this journal entry. I currently have plans to remake/make digital works of: Very Classy, Four Minutes, Adrift, a Mare, It's About Time, I Wanna Stretch, and maybe even At The Finish Line.

I won't be starting on this immediately, however, as this event took up a lot of my free time. So what I'll be doing in the next couple of days is getting caught up on a month's worth of stuff I'd been meaning to do, then it'll be back to a bit of drawing. As I said last time, If there's any other work that I haven't listed that you'd like to see me redo, please feel free to send me a message or leave a comment.

With Day 10 over with, that marks the end of 1/3 of the event (already?). If there's any submissions I've posted to my gallery that you think I should redo, or works I should turn into digital works, please feel free to send me a message, and at the conclusion of the New Artists Training Grounds, I'll get to work on.
